Installing on TP-Link EAP225 v2 and EAP245 v1

I would like to reflash two "older" TP-Link APs with stock firmware to openwrt.

For the EAP225 v2, can someone with those devices confirm that the only and easiest install method is the one described in https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/eap225#eap225_v1v2

For the EAP 245 v1, there is no device page - can someone confirm that I follow the same instructions as for the EAP225 v2?

Hi, I just want to briefly report back on the procedure of flashing the EAP225v2.

I followed:

  1. to enable ssh access: https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/eap225#workaround_for_ssh_key_length
  2. to patch stock fimware and install openwrt: https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/eap225#eap225_v1v2

Note: v1 and v2 use the same firmware images.

The main trouble of this recipe was to make my distribution connect to ssh using old and unsupported methods.

For flashing instructions of the TP-Link EAP245v1, I created https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/eap245_v1

this is work in progress and needs some love and further contribution.
