I downloaded the 24.10.0 firmware from this link: https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=24.10.0&target=qualcommax%2Fipq807x&id=tplink_eap660hd-v1
The factory image is a .ubi file and when I try to select it in the stock firmware web interface it says its an invalid file type.
I'm not sure how to install openwrt on this device otherwise. I did try to use the sysupgrade .bin file, but that gave a bad file error.
I have previously used and configured DD-WRT and pfsense on different routers, but I have not installed openwrt on an access point. Is there something that I have missed?
but I thought that it required Serial+TFTP for installation because it was in early development. I thought that once it is no longer a snapshot build it could be easily installed via web interface. The Serial+TFTP installation method seemed much more complicated than installing via the stock web interface.
Is the Serial+TFTP installation method the only one that will ever be possible for the TP-Link EAP660HD?
