Installed OpenWrt onto a managed switch. Can't access it on the network, need help accessing it?

I successfully flashed my Linksys LGS310C switch with OpenWrt 24.10.0. I hooked it into my network. I have a simple network with no VLANS. It goes Cable modem to OpenWrt One wireless router to the newly flashed switch. Then I have a single desktop hooked into the switch. The rest of the clients are wireless. I'm trying to access the switch through the wired desktop which is hooked into the switch directly. I've never even seen the login page for OpenWrt for the switch. I have no idea how to access the login page on the switch. The router is no problem. The switch is working fine and is switching just fine. I would like to be able to login though.

Thank you.

  • Connect only the computer to the switch
  • Assign your computer a static IP of 192.168.1.2
  • Access the switch at 192.168.1.1

Does this work? If yes, you can then change the switches IP assignment to match the subnet of your router.

Thank you so much! that was the solution. Everything is working perfectly now. I now have a full open source free software networking stack (router and switch) aside from the cable modem of course. Thanks again.
