Installed OpenWrt on Linksys WRT54G v2.2 -- no SSID visible

Hi,

I had a very old router lying around that I wanted to repurpose as a repeater.

I installed openwrt-wrt54g-squashfs.bin on a Linksys WRT54G v2.2 via the Linksys web UI, and installation
completed successfully -- I saw the pop up saying so.

Now, after powering on, I see the power LED begin to blink fast and after 5 seconds the DMZ LED lights up. After about 1 minute, the power LED glows solid and DMZ light turns off. The WLAN LED remains off.

I don't see any SSID advertized.

Anyone any idea?

I got it working -- connected a LAN port to my laptop and was able to get the LuCI web UI and also able to ssh into the router.

WLAN seems to be disabled by default.

Now back to my original goal of setting up a repeater. Anyone can point to a HOWTO?
