maybe a stupid question, but the installation of the actual package of stubby failed on my Fritzbox 4040 running OpenWRT 19.07.3.
What I did according the installation instructions is:
a) at the console:
opkg install stubby
I get this error message:
Unknown package 'stubby'.
* opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package stubby.
b) in the LUCI GUI I searched in the software list, but stubby it's not listed and can't be chosen.
I took a look in the list of packages of the 19.07.x releases...
stubby wasn't listed in any 19.07.x release!
I found an old version (0.2.6-1) for 18.06.8
Is it a good idea to install that old version?
Did anyone installed successfully the actual one the last days or weeks?
Thanks for help!
I ran into this problem this morning. It seems like the packages for
"arm_cortex-a9_vfpv3" got split into a new feed which is "arm_cortex-a9_vfpv3-d16". The new feed doesn't contain the package but stubby can be found under https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/19.07.3/packages/arm_cortex-a9_vfpv3/packages/
It looks like the package is failing to build. https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/faillogs-19.07/arm_cortex-a9_vfpv3-d16/packages/stubby/
good that I'm not alone with that problem
For arm_cortex-a7_neon-vfpv4 both packages, getdns and stubby are in the faillogs:
So what's your experience? Is it just a question of time until this will be fixed?
You're not alone,I encontered this as well (with my Linksys WRT1200AC).I fired up my virtual machine and compiled the package myself.
You're a lucky guy!
I'm not skilled enough to build the packages myself
That's no luck. It's just some weekend hobby, to be honest.Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's a matter of time for the package to pop up.I installed it like 3 months ago with no problem.
A bug report probably needs to be submitted so the problem can be tracked. Right now, it's probably not on anyone's radar.
Someone else had this same problem with openvswitch on
It's there and successfully installed!
You made my day!
