Installation of 24.10 on SXR80

Hi there, I am trying to install on a SXR80, I followed through the instructions, first time I got
Warning: Bad CRC, using default environment
message from the

> fw_setenv bootcmd 'env default -a; saveenv; reset'

Because of your warnings I reset the box then upgraded to the latest netgear firmware and started again.
I don't get any error messages but it never boots into OpenWrt either. Clearly something has happened because now when i look in /etc on the netgear firmware I see files like

openwrt_version
openwrt_release

Maybe I am missing something, I had expected from the instructions to see an OpenWrt GUI before I did the step to modify the boot?
Did I misunderstand, has it really gone wrong or has it worked?
I would be grateful for any help.

Turns out to be idiot user error! I was stupidly fixing the 192.168.1.10 in the DHCP of the SXR80 rather than fixing it in the adapter connecting it to the router!
