Install iwlwifi 3160 n/ac

install kmod-iwlwifi and iI get this:

there's an iwlwifi-3160-16.ucode but not 17 is the firmware file behind ?

Yeah, it seems so. We probably need to bump some files in the linux-firmware package to match what the updated drivers in the mac80211 package need. For now you can download the file manually from https://github.com/OpenELEC/iwlwifi-firmware/blob/master/firmware/iwlwifi-3160-17.ucode

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I gotta ask: is it normal I don't see Wireless AC with this WiFi device?


Intel and AP is generally a bad idea.

…and not possible at all on 5 GHz.
