Install a specific version of Python

Is there a way to install a specific version of python?

Background

I want to use pyinstaller to make a helloworld binary in OpenWrt. However it doesn't seem to be working. I posted this issue on their github repo, and they suggested that I try python 3.7 since pyinstaller doesn't support python 3.8 yet.
