I've read about it and its great idea for IoT thanks to increasing range. Although it needs actual implementation that would work out of the box. You can read about it here: https://span.engineering.wustl.edu/pub/lundrigan2019onoff Would be that hard to implement?
AFAIK it's all software so.... Problem is that it needs to be implemented in both way
Also I think it should be implemented in firmware so only we can only implement it on ath9k
something like this already exist, where negotiated data rates are below 1mbps, e.g. 256kbps or 128kbps, to go beyond standard range
Is that already implemented into openwrt?
i think only madwifi driver have it
That driver is deprecated. Its not a good idea to use for IoT for security reasons.
