I installed block-mount manually. I also reported a missing package as a bug.
Today is the first day I am able to get a working image using imagebuilder.
It looks like the ABI related changes mentioned in this post above
are the root cause for my issues. The issue with block-mount was resolved after several days for me but at least one other package I include in my imagebuilder build's was also affected (zile - cause i just can't let go of emacs...).
If you still have troubles and you think it is related to the ABI changes, try finding the bug report mentioned in this post:
and comment there. Likely waiting a bit longer may resolve it or the issue is unrelated.
