I'm stuck! How to Upgrade

Dear all,

I have a ZTE MF286D that is running the following:-

LuCI Master (24.291.55886~ade3606) / [OpenWrt SNAPSHOT (r27842-3407269ba5)

When I have attempted to upgrade the device, say using stock OpenWrt images (e.g. https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=24.10.1&target=ipq40xx%2Fgeneric&id=zte_mf286d), I loose internet access and can find no sign of the modem and therefore cannot configure my internet connection.

Previously I have successfully used the following for upgrades, but there hasn't been any advancement in some time: https://github.com/4IceG/ZTE-MF286D/releases

Can anyone tell me where I can find the suitable latest release and how to install it so that I don't lose internet access?

Many thanks.

That's expected with the vanilla image, it probably doesn't contain the extra packages required by the modem.

If you try the request build, the packages should be added.

Unfortunately, that didn't work for me. I did as suggested, and I had the same result. Curiously, the resulting build was just 1KB larger in size.

Worked for me...

Try this image, it was generated just now.

Thank you for getting back to me and providing the link. The filename and size are identical to the one I downloaded. I did note, but neglected to mention, that when I headed to interfaces, it said that I needed to install the required protocols (?) for my modem. Does that help narrow the issue down?

See wiki Basic Configuration for how to configure LTE.
