I'm seeing excellent CPU usage on OpenWrt version 25.12.5; is it the same for you?

I am seeing low CPU usage and stability on OpenWrt version 25.12.5 r33051-f5dae5ece4 / LuCI (HEAD detached at 128a7812) branch 26.180.75667~128a781, and this isn't just psychological—there is a significant performance boost. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Since you installed a release not made public yet, you will not receive tons of answers.
As for stability, what's your up time, so far ?

Lower CPU usage doens't mean performance boost. Furthermore as noticed by @frollic, you have installed a not yet released version, with a low time up. Were you able to experiment a whole day of normal usage? You'd better wait for the official annoucement as for each version, than install and compare for a long period of time.

Regarding a 3-4 hour usage time, what did you mean by "not publicly available"? I'm currently at the latest version.

It is very stable in use

If it's not announced in https://forum.openwrt.org/c/announcements/14, it's not public.

Officially, .4 is still the latest version.

How did you measure 'excellent CPU usage'? And what's your CPU?

There is something I pay attention to in long use right now, internet browsing is very stable, it also makes a difference of 1-2% as a cpu. Probably improvements on the dns side and ipv6 corrections may have contributed to this

No benchmarking details, no CPU info. I'm sorry but that sounds like BS.

4A gigabit router

I don't doubt it :innocent:
