Is there any possibility to get intel i40e drivers in a kmod install package? I have a lab test system with 710 series 10g card in it but no native driver support with OpenWRT 18.06.1 on X86.

If they're Open Source (I hope you checked that), just compile them.
I found these, but don't really know the first thing about how to compile/implement for OpenWRT/LEDE.

Also your link says e1000...are you sure that the e1000 or e1000e drivers don't work?
OpenWRT has the e1000, e1000e and igb drivers. But i'm using a 710 series card, 4 SFP+ 10gbe ports which use the i40e driver. The cards have been around since 2014 so they are not so new, but maybe not a lot of folks use 10gbe with OpenWRT. I'm just not as fluent with make/builds in the Linux space.
