What are you expecting to find there?

package sources for downloading. E.g buildbot uses it (and also populates it with new package versions' sources).

https://sources.openwrt.org/ works for me on Firefox, but the certificate seems to be for "downloads.openwrt.org". Depending on the browser security settings, there may be errors.

Note that using https instead of http is not that siginificant, as the package checksum is in the Makefile and gets validated.

Edit:
Edge shows that sources.openwrt.org is a valid alternative site name in the certificate:

DNS-nimi=dev.archive.openwrt.org
DNS-nimi=dev.openwrt.org
DNS-nimi=downloads.lede-project.org
DNS-nimi=downloads.openwrt.org
DNS-nimi=downloads2.lede-project.org
DNS-nimi=etherpad.openwrt.org
DNS-nimi=forum.archive.openwrt.org
DNS-nimi=sources.lede-project.org
DNS-nimi=sources.openwrt.org
DNS-nimi=sources2.lede-project.org

http redirects me to https://dev.archive.openwrt.org/, therefore my question above.

Interesting.
I do not get redirected with http. It goes properly to sources.openwrt.org
(both http and https work ok)

Should be fixed, was an unexpected hickup during the server migration.
