HP Printer connection not possible

Hey, so I am running OpenWrt 19.07.5 for now with an Linksys EA8500, but can't get my printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 8720) to work with it.

I tried few cables/ports - that's not it. It's working with my ISP's included router. The printer with it's hostname is listed at "Active DHCP Leases" (also in the printers network settings). Tough I also tried to manually set an IP and printer could not connect?? First I thought it might be some block at banIP or likes. Or some ports needed.

But printing it's diagnostic it shows already an error when trying to connect to the gateway/router and wont go on with dns, proxy up to testserver stages, which is weird as DHCP seems to work fine. EDIT: I also did test traceroutes to some HP sites and checked if there is anything of note in banip IPSet Lookups. Kernel and Systemlog don't show anything of interest. Tough Bonjour is disabled on the printer thanks to "Netlink Bandwidth Monitor / nlbwmon" I did note that mDNS Packets have been sent from the printer. But umdns didn't receive any updates - browse/hosts still clear.

Any ideas?

How is the printer connected directly to the router?

FWIW My printer is connected wirelessly and to be able for any device on my network to see and print I have to have WMM diabled on the wireless network the printer is conencted to.

I usually just create a new wireless network just for the printer and have WWM diabled.

Yes, directly. And as I wrote tried few cables and ports. Also no additional vlan setups or likes. WWM is active, but should not affect the lan, or? /EDIT (I thought of some strange catchback, maybe a known bug)

I only did want to use unbound but did have crashes too https://github.com/openwrt/packages/issues/8364, so deactivated now and back to dnsmasq-full till I find time for stubby.

WMM is only wireless.

I know (check edit above). Anyway I tried out of curiosity with disabling WWM.

I did some futher testing after reading s.t. else with tcpdump:
