How to use lan as wan

How to use lan as wan?
I don't have any switch option here.
I was using lan1 as wan but when I updated my router and reset that, I forgot the setting. Please help me with this

That 'sounds' like you're now on DSA, but as you keep your device a secret, it's a bit hard to tell - so I can only leave the generic answer here (which might - or might not fit your situation):
https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/dsa/dsa-mini-tutorial

Maybe you can look at your own (older) posts??

It's not working as before. Kindly help me on this

Let's see your config:

Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button:

Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:

ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/firewall

ubus call system board

This one should use lan1 as well (or you can delete it):

This is wrong... remove the wan network from the lan zone:

And add it back to the wan zone:

Reboot and try again.

How to edit from the command prompt?
Any instruction for this?

I always edit the files text directly.

But, you can do this within LuCI.

image

access denied from CMD

the command is:

vi /etc/config/firewall

and

vi /etc/config/network

How to save after editing?

Searching for the key-commands for the vi editor will reveal all:

https://cs.stanford.edu/people/miles/vi.html

use WinSCP and you can edit much easier

Nothing changes

Let’s see the updated configuration files.

Network and firewall need to be restarted after you edit the files.

Looks okay. Did you restart your router?

Yes, I did
