How to upgrade the kernel version to 6.x in openwrt build
Kernel 6.6 is default on main.
And also in 24.10.0 release that is upcoming.
As expected.
Notice that some devices require special steps to upgrade from 23.05 to 24.10/snapshot due to bigger kernel 6.6 size.
I am following this for the AX6S because I own a couple of these devices, but I am wondering if other devices may require the same manual steps to upgrade using builds with the kernel 6.6 (current snapshots and 24.10). Details here and here.
Based on your links, this really appears to be specific to these two devices. In any event, the commit has been merged into main and the device wiki updated accordingly.
