How to set up OpenWrt with ISP Router?

Hi, So I just bought an Orange Pi R1 Plus LTS (ORP) to use as a router. The ISP router's Lan is connected to the ORP WAN port, and my laptop is connected to the ORP LAN port. The ORP boots normally, but there is no internet connection. I tried changing the ORP Lan IP address to 192.168.111.1 (the ISP Router IP address is 192.168.1.1), but I still don't have any internet access. What should I do ??

Thanks all

The firmware that i use : This Link

  • Did your machine get a new IP via DHCP in the 192.168.111.0/24 network?
  • Can you access the router at 192.168.111.1?
  • If so, what does the LuCI web GUI's IPv4 Upstream Connection Status say?

sorry for replying late,

Yes, My laptop get a new IP address

I Can access the router at 192.168.111.1

After some tinkering, I discovered that the firmware was the source of the problem, so I installed an older version of it. When I use the DHCP client protocol, everything starts working right away. The only issue I'm having right now is with PPPOE. When I put the ISP router in bridge mode and enter the username and password on the ORP, I get an unknown error (user request).
