How to set name for device instead of ip/mac address

Hello,
is possible somewhere in Luci set name for ip adreess of the machine or for the mac address ?
So in the interfaces where the device are listed I will see name which I defined ?
For example in Realtime Rate

Selection_013
Selection_0131202×252 24.1 KB

would be much more comfortable to see device names instead of ip addresses.

Populate /etc/ethers, but I don't know if the names will be shown everywhere.

luci-app-nft-qos is obsolete and no longer available or maintained, so it won’t help that particular screen.

so what is the solution ?
to see realtime upload/download rates with defined names instead of ip addresses ?
