How to reset name/pw on a WE826Q

The router was upgraded to the ROOter firmware at my home in the city.

Did the basic set-up including name/pw.

Jotted the info on setting it up (after creating name/PW).

I have taken the modem/router up to the mountains where it will be used and hooked it up to the Mac.

But I forgot the name/pw combo.

I have tried resetting the router.

No luck.

Tried a variety of combos that I would think using.

I tried default:

admin/admin

Anyone run into this and have a solution?

test : root / no password or root / root

Default is root w/o password.
Better to ask at their forum.

Just heard that I need to do a firmware recovery.
So be forewarned.......REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD!!

Hold in the reset button for between 5 and 15 seconds and then release.

The router will clear the password and reboot.

This is the only way to recover from a forgotten password.
