How to make Norton VPN allow lan access

I have Win 10. Secure VPN is installed on the PC. I am unable to browse (HTTP) to either my local router (static LAN IP) or a local device (static LAN IP) when the VPN is "ON". Browsing to a public IP is fine. Is there a simple remedy for this? Using OpenWRT 23.05.0

Despite the fact that you are using an openwrt router, this is not related to openwrt because the vpn client on your computer is what is blocking lan access. You’ll need to ask on the Norton vpn related support channels for advice about how to do this.

Thank you for clarifying what I suspected. There aren't any options in the s/w that will fix this. So it looks like my only solution is to only run the VPN when I want to encrypt important data. :unamused:

Or look into ways to set custom routes for bypassing the vpn ( as a function of your computer’s operating systems). That is out of scope for these forums, but you may be able to find information on the web at large with the right search terms.
