How to get Tplink t2u working

i am making a router with raspberry pi and i am using tplink t2u as AP.

i tried all kinds of drivers from MT7610u to RTL88 but can't get it to work when doing ifconfig wlan1 up.

it is showing in LSUSB:

Bus 001 Device 008: ID 2357:011f Realtek 802.11ac WLAN Adapter
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:ec00
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9514
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux 5.4.188 dwc_otg_hcd DWC OTG Controller

and DMESG shows the following:

[ 2566.490872] usb 1-1.4: new high-speed USB device number 8 using dwc_otg
[ 2566.600030] usb 1-1.4: New USB device found, idVendor=2357, idProduct=011f, bcdDevice= 2.00
[ 2566.613691] usb 1-1.4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 2566.623817] usb 1-1.4: Product: 802.11ac WLAN Adapter

[ 2566.638650] usb 1-1.4: SerialNumber: 00e04c000001```

that chipset should be rtl8811au, so mabie you need rtl8812au drivers

RTL and AP mode is usually a no go, if that's what you're going for.

why's that?

i did install it. i installed all RTL88 drivers

Because the drivers suck b*lls...

can i at least use it to connect to wifi then use rip's onboard adapter as AP? i want to get the external adapter running then I'll determine whether to use it as AP or not
