Currently, I was going to wan6 > edit > advanced settings > use custom DNS servers.
But I was having a lot of unresolved DNS issues caused by IPv6 (after I disabled IPv6 in lan, all internet issues went away).
Now I see that in the lan interface, there's an option for "Announced IPv6 DNS server". This was left empty, because I assumed that if the device announced itself as the DNS server, then it would use the custom DNS servers in wan6. Is this the case? Or do I have to disable "Local IPv6 DNS server"? Or instead, enter the same custom DNS servers in wan6 in "Announced IPv6 DNS servers?
Edit: My IPv6 only exists in LAN, and it's delegated from wan6 since I have a /64 IPv6-PD.
Edit 2: I just noticed that I had a wrong IPv6 address in the wan6 custom DNS server list. I fixed this, enabled ipv6 again, and things seem to be running smoothly so far... maybe my issue was a wrong ipv6 address (although I had 4 other correct ones higher on the list). But my question still stands, just in case I do have to modify the lan's dns settings.
