How to configure a mini pcie huawei me909s-120p V2 module in OpenWrt

Hello team, I have several days trying to configure a mini pcie huawei me909s-120p v2 module and it has been impossible, I only manage to make it work in umts mode very slowly. That is why I go to your source of knowledge, if you could explain step by step, thank you.

the modem might be initialized/configured incorrectly, you might need to fiddle with the params using AT commands.

Hi
You can check if the modem is locked to any radio technology and frequencies with AT^SYSCFGEX?.
Use picocom:
picocom -b 115200 /dev/ttyUSB0 -c
and then:
AT^SYSCFGEX?

If the response is not equal to: ^SYSCFGEX: "00",3FFFFFFF,1,2,7FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
then run:
AT^SYSCFGEX="00",3FFFFFFF,1,2,7FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

(for exit picocom ctrl a x)

You may need to restart your modem if you have change the ^SYSCFGEX.

Please show the output of cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices

Hello AndrewZ please check:

cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices

Very Thanks mrhaav...! the module is only UMTS and CDMA, i adjust and all is ok now, more fast. Thanks!!

the modem funcion LTE good.

i need other help, the modem function is ppp this is obsolet and slow, is possible configure this huawei module on mbim, ncm, ndis or rndis? I understand that it cannot be qmi because it is only for qualcomm, very thanks.

Your modem is in ECM mode, so you don't need to switch it and the required drivers are loaded.
The comm port you should use for commands is /dev/ttyUSB2

Please refer to an older thread about the same modem: We826 + Huawei me909 (s-120) - trying and failing to get up and running

I tried with NCM protocol, but I didnĀ“t get it to work as I wanted. So I created a script instead.
You can look at: https://github.com/mrhaav/PCEnginesAPU1
I have tried to describe how I solved it.
