Hello. Currently, I have OpenWrt installed on my router (my router is etisalat S3). I'm thinking about going back to the OEM firmware because I have faced some issues with the OpenWrt firmware. My question is, if I reverted to the OEM firmware, how could I later on go back to OpenWrt? Do I follow the same installation instructions that you would follow when you first install OpenWrt? The way I am going back to OEM firmware is by changing the bootflag (https://openwrt.org/toh/etisalat/s3#:~:text=1.%20Change%20the%20bootflag%20to%20Sercomm1%20in%20OpenWrt%20CLI%20and%20then%20reboot%3A)
In general, yes.
But if you have a dual-firmware device and an easily usable bootflag, you can just toggle that setting alone to move back and forth (as long as you don't upgrade the OEM firmware again and thereby overwrite the OpenWrt installation).
Though, can I always use the same installation instructions, even when I have not completely overwritten OpenWrt and simply just changed the bootflag?
yes, you can.
