How can I revert back to stock firmware on the ER605 V2?

Hi guys,

Recently I bought the Omada ER605 v2 and saw it supported OpenWRT so I followed the guide and it went perfectly, no hiccups whatsoever, however I have been noticing that my router will randomly crash completely, ssh stops working luci dhcp you name it. So I would like to restore the firmware, I took a backup as the guide said using the script and have the backup files but everywhere says you need console access by soldering to the board, I have no experience let alone tools to do this and was wondering if there is any other way to do it, maybe someone made a script or a command. I've tried dding to the partition which seemed to work then I used recovery mode to reflash the stock rom but after it got to 100 percent it just rebooted back to OpenWRT. I also tried ubiformat which didnt work because the partition was busy (/dev/mtd3)

If anyone knows how to revert back without soldering to the console on the board I would really appreciate it as it is quite unstable and OpenWRT just isn't for me.

Thanks.

Been here? https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/er605_v2

Yes, several times and I can't find anything related to recovery, the built in tp-link recovery doesnt work anymore.

You can modify flash from OpenWrt failsafe mode.
But you have just one try.

Above is the only proven way to go back

How may i do this? I have booted into failsafe but ubiformat doesnt exist

You need to get ubi utils into squashfs, like running owut on installed OpenWrt, or adding via firmware-selector web interface.

I have flashed a custom image with ubi tools now, I have access to ubi attach ubidetach and ubiformat, what next?

As in provided link - you got to program using bootloader.

So I have to open up and solder to the console? Because I really dont want to do that.
