Hi, i have old product from mikotik RB941-2nD HAP Lite TC, in this condition my router is bricked after updating RouterOs, i dump file from SPI IC for backup.bin. And i see in other forum there have dump too, so i decided to download it and flashing to my SPI IC and it can boot up. But, when i connect and login to winbox its say must be resgistering a License Key. So, what can i do for restore/search license key from backup.bin file? or just modification the backup.bin file?, i want to see the License key and backup it and install OpenWrt Firmware, i need the backup license because if in the future when i want ro flashing RouterOS its just flashing and winbox not ask the License Key.
I am a beginner, i hope someone can help me, and iam from indonesian sorry for the typo when texting (not using translate)
You can export licence file via web or windows interface.
Hi brada4, how i can find the license file? Because i buy this router second hand, maybe iam the 3rd owner or more, is in the dump file have license key?
router> /system [tabtab] licence [tabtab] save or print or dump [tabtab] destination or file or something [tabtabtab] = filename , then locate it via web ui or tabtab through ftp tftp sftp scp commands.
But the stock firmware is cannot booting up sir, its keep rebooting every 10seconds, UART serial its not showing anything, and then the firmware from other forum work properly but not have license
The firmware i mean its maybe bootloader or whatever, i flash it to SPI IC using CH341A
If you lost your licence you have to contact their support. If something boots without licence it is perfectly valid for OpenWrt installation.
Okayy, in this time ill try with openwrt firmware, thanks sir
Sir, i have problem while flashing openwrt, using WAN Port is not detected, i think WAN port is damaged because no led light up on WAN port, ether 2/3/4 is work properly, can you teach me how to flash openwrt with another method? I'm not have experience on Linux
