How can I add external nas storage on OpenWrt

Hello, I have a 4MB router with Openwrt and I can't install many things on it. I also have a NAS and I know you can add a USB port into the router but it would involve disoldering the CPU which I don't have the tools for. So my question is can Openwrt use my NAS for installing packages like wpad, openvpn etc.

I think, it is easier to get a new router.

So, you would basically need to configure extroot over NFS or similar... but you will probably need to install more packages than your router can support.
