High ping and jitter results from cloudflare speed test

Hi guys so I use the NANOPI R6S with my fiber optic connection from ATT. Currently have the ATT gateway in ip pass through with firewall on that gateway disabled and WiFi disabled. For some odd reason when I do a Speedtest using cloud flare which records jitter and ping. It shows high ping and jitter. But when I use waveform bufferbloat test it shows low ping and jitter. I was wondering if there is some type of misconfiguration with my setup or it could just be cloud flares test? Not sure if this is something worth troubleshooting over because I don’t know if it is an issue or not. If anyone can give some insight that would be solid.

Additional info: I am using Cake SQM and cloudflare results are high ping and jitter even with SQM enabled and set up.

If Cake does not perform I'd try a lower target bandwidth and see what the test says.

That’s the thing cake is performing well. My connection is 1Gb symmetrical. On waveform bufferbloat test I see low latency and only 1ms of jitter. But on cloudflare Speedtest. Latency is in 30ms range and jitter is high on upload and download. Two different website tests. One with low bufferbloat, one with high bufferbloat. All with sqm configured.

then maybe it is just suboptimal peering to cloudflare?

Maybe post screenshots? Maybe also from https://test.bufferbloat.com (use the the "DOWNLOAD JPG" button to get an image to post here).

You are probably right but then again I’m not quite sure. I used cloudflare before without openwrt router in place. And scores on cloudflare were a lot better than what I’m getting now.

currently at work so unable to show. But it’s just quite odd. For example bufferbloat waveform test will show unloaded latency at 11ms. Upload and download jitter will be consistent at 1ms. Once I used cloudflare, unloaded latency is measured at 25-30ms with upload and download jitter at the same values. Really weird.
