Help with swconfig

the xiaomi ax3200? it's a swiss arm

It may be a versatile router, but unless you rolled back all of the dsa backend commits, the os is still expecting to interact with the switch using dsa syntax. So installing swconfig components doesn’t mean swconfig will work.

You effectively used duct tape to stick a timing belt to the side of the jet engine. Yes, you can say that the engine has a timing belt, but it doesn’t do anything.

lol,but I don't understand why you are so obsessed with me in this tread

…annnnnnd, we’re done here.

So what do you mean you know what I did and I don't

I wish I would never open this tread

It's relatively simple: You are asking for help on a custom build, but didn't tell us that it was a custom build. Nobody can read your mind, so all answers are based on the - very valid - assumption that you're using an official OpenWrt image. You posted even to the section "[...] and troubleshooting on already-built OpenWrt firmware [...]".

Others in this thread have pointed out several times that you cannot easily, i.e. without reverting a lot of patches, move back from DSA to swconfig. And more importantly: Why would you want to do that? The DSA configuration can be done in LuCI in a very similar way, you just have to navigate to a different spot.

DSA is built into the kernel. It fundamentally changes the way the switch and the CPU eth port work. This is built in to the drivers at a low level, and DSA operation is assumed right from the beginning when the hardware is initially probed and pre-configured.

Running swconfig while the switch and port are operating in a DSA compatible mode will not result in a usable configuration.

The DSA replacement for swconfig is the Bridge Filtering tab on the bridge device configuration page. It is designed to look and work very similar to swconfig.

so are we still convinced that my xiaomi is using DSA drivers? At this point I can't say anything more

All MT7621 based models have been migrated to DSA.

@mk24 i know that, the netgear r6260 it's the one i'm working on mt7621
the screanshots are xiaomi ax3200 m7622 and is working great with swconfig on openwrt 22.03.2

You could respond to a valid inquiry. Because I'm confused as to how you're seeking a response if we have no clue what you did.

  • It is simply possible you could explain what you did to create the build, then?
  • I don't see it "working great"

i did nothing special i'm using mediatek hardware nat with the proprietary drivers
