Gentlemen, how are you? I'm new to OpenWRT firmware, and I'd like to be able to improve my old router. Yesterday I updated my router with the firmware you provided, but I don't know if there was a problem, because it doesn't want to enter the confirmation, it doesn't respond to 192.168.1.1, the OpenWRT open network appears on Wi-Fi, I don't know if there is another address to configure, can you help me friends. I appreciate your collaboration. I want to try all the advantages of OpenWRT firmware.
wifi isn't on by default, what did you flash it with ?
While searching, I found an old post about how to enter bootloader mode, and I was able to upload the OpenWRT firmware via FTP. Now I need help with the Spanish language pack in Luci. Thank you very much for the support.
That's the luci-i18n-base-es (guessing the name) package...
Ok Yes, I already installed it. Tell me what good packages I can install in Luci, Adblock, and OpenVPN. I need to configure the TTL to be able to use data from my cell phone that restricts me. Do you know if I can do tethering with the cell phone and the R6100 router?
Yes you can - https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wan/smartphone.usb.tethering
As for TTL, is can be changed too, at least via sysctl.
Do you know why sometimes the USB tethering with the router is disconnected?
I know at least Apple device have some kind of time out, that needs to be disabled, or is it random ?
Is there any way to force USB tethering on an Android device? I'm using a Redmi 9 Android 11, and it keeps disconnecting. Sometimes it takes longer than others to disconnect. Do you know if there's any way to make this tethering permanent?
Sounds like a Redmi question...
