Help with adding Switch

How do I add a switch to the OpenWRT
I have a TP-Link SG105 5 port gigabit desktop switch but when I plug the Ethernet into it going to the router running OpenWRT the switch isn’t recognized.

what do you mean by this ?
what openwrt device are you using, running which version ?

I mean I have a physical TP link switch that used to hook up to my IQrouter but since the upgrade to new firmware OpenWRT it doesn’t register all the ports on it.

Local Time

on it what ? the SG105 switch ?

Yes like I said before when evenroute didn’t close their business I could just hook my switch up to it via Ethernet and I could plug other devices in my physical switch to get internet. I’m just wondering since I’m on openwrt now do I have to configure it to detect the switch and if so how is it done? I’m new to all this and don’t wanna screw anything up last night I had to reset like 6 times before I realized some other issues and now my internet is good and I’m not touching that but just wanna get my switch detected.

Does the Link-LED(if present) light up on both sides of the plugged cable?

In a default OpenWrt configuration, that is all LAN ports untagged, you just connect the switch to one of the LAN ports and you're fine. It's an unmanaged switch, so there is nothing to configure.

Note: It won't be shown in the OpenWrt GUI, since the swtich does not request an IP address.

Omg I’m so stupid lol when I was testing I forgot to plug the device I was using in. It works though! Thanks.
