I have a TP‑Link TL‑WDR5600 V2 router that was previously running OpenWrt, but it’s now stuck in Breed recovery mode. I’ve tried flashing firmware myself, but the router always reverts to Breed or does not boot properly.
I understand that this model does not currently have an official OpenWrt release, and I am seeking guidance from anyone who has successfully built or ported OpenWrt for this device.
Specifically, I would like to know:
Is there a pre-built sysupgrade.bin or community build available for TL‑WDR5600 V2?
If not, what is the recommended process to compile a custom OpenWrt firmware for this router?
Any tips on flashing via Breed recovery safely for this model.
My goal is to get OpenWrt running again on this router. I can provide more technical details if needed (serial access, current firmware, Breed version, etc.).
Thank you very much for your guidance and support!
Yes, I am sure, because I was using it and tried to upgrade its firmware but mistakenly I have uploaded wrong version, after that this mode activated. and its its stock router.
Actually I did not notice the exact version. and router is from china stock and openwrt firmware was default installed. but I have other router that has same model and openwrt firmware, I will share its screenshot. in next reply.
don't bother, there's not a single router in the world that comes with openwrt "preinstalled", except the OpenWRT One.
it's running a vendor SDK, just like any other device out there.
your device is not supported, there's no firmware for it, here.
