Help ! Need to Disconnect and Reconnect Continuously to Have Internet Access

i use openwrt in client mode to connect it to an ap
wireless security: is wpa2-eap
eap method : peap
authentification : eap-mschapv2

my problem is no matter if the signal is 80% or connection is 133 or 54 mbit/s, i constantly have to press on disable/enable conection to be able to access the internet till the next time internet drops again.

i tried playing with settings and flash openwrt on an asus and tplink devices but the problem remain the same.

x

the device with the openwrt and the ap are always connected but internet drops till i disable and renable wireless under "wireless overview" in openwrt..is there any fix for this because its frustrating....thanks

Which device, which OpenWrt version?
Anything helpful in the logs?

How is the AP configured?

|Firmware Version|LEDE Reboot 17.01.4 r3560-79f57e422d / LuCI lede-17.01 branch (git-17.290.79498-d3f0685)|
|Kernel Version|4.4.92|

tried openwrt on thiose device but the problem is the same
tplink tl-wdr4900
Asus WL500W

what do you mean how is the ap configured

I would try to debug the issue a bit before searching for answers. Just "internet drops" is not very informative: does the entire wireless link go down? can you reach the AP? can you reach the gateway? can you PING an external host? ...?

In your first post, you stated that "i use openwrt in client mode to connect it to an ap"; perhaps there is nothing wrong with the clients, and it is just the AP disconnecting them for some reason (perhaps it was configured to drop clients after a certain time, for example).

the wireless link is up,yes i can reach the gateway,i cant ping the the externat ap unless i disconnect the wireless and reconnect.

i am sure there is nothing wrong with the ap so it must be something in openwrt to change

Can you see anything relevant on the logs?

i am not sure i can understand whats in them.

this is part of it
