Hello all,
Please assist me in installing my 3G Modem for use on my device running OpenWRT .
The device being used is a GL.iNET GL-MT300N-V2 Mango Travel router.
From my research, this appears to be a commonly referenced router.
The 3G Modem that I am using is an Option NV OGI0452 USB Modem.
For reference purposes, here is the device's user manual: Option NV OGI0452 User Manual
When I plug the device in, the Mango is not recognizing the device as a modem.
I found an article that roughly and vaguely explained the process
Referenced article here: Installation of 3G Modem onto OpenWRT
However, I cannot find the terminal command center. I was trying to install the device on LUCI, but I couldn't directly figure that out either.
Can someone please provide me with some answers to these following questions:
- Will this 3G modem work on my OpenWRT via the Mango Router?
- Can someone please help by providing me with some comprehensive help in installing this modem?
I am not unknowledgable using GNU terminals. My main problem is that I simply cannot find the terminal or any specific place hosting a command line.
I have tried the method using LUCI, but I am not finding the specific protocol that I require.
(OR IN THIS CASE, IN LUCI, DO I JUST USE THE GENERIC PPP PROTOCOL? PLEASE ADVISE)
Please help me out. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.
P.S. If this modem is not adequate for either OpenWRT or Mango, can you please advise on a good one? Thanks
Thanks everyone!
