Help Building image for TP-Link RE305 as Wi-Fi Extender

hi all,
What are the minimum packages and configurations required (including luci) to make TP-Link RE305 v1 as dumb (Without DHCP and DNS and firewall) wireless extender?

The standard image is all that is required. Packages could theoretically be removed, but it is not necessary.

Then, follow the dumb ap guide.

The standard image wont work with me because the latest image is too big for the device storage.
(that's the reason the device is not saving the configuration and resetting it after reboot )TP-Link RE 305 V1 Keeps Factory Resetting)

So I thought if I can make a custom image that is small enough so that it don't have this issue since it will only serve as WiFi extender only

in that case.... you can use the image builder to create a custom build that reduces the size of the base image. Simply removing LuCI will do what you need, but if you want to keep LuCI, read here:
