Well, I just wanted to ask. I now use OpenWRT on x86 Platform, (I am a very beginner) but I have old router D-Link Dir-300 and I wonder can I somehow use it for this magnificent OS and xray VPN, as client to connect to xray VPN server. Thank you!
With 4/16 Flash/Ram, 10/100 ports, and a14 year old box!!!???
You are looking for more than I little grief even making the attempt.
Not only are you talking about an extremely old and limited device, why on earth would you want to use firmware that is ~14 years old! The number of security vulnerabilities would be staggering... not something you want on critical network infrastructure.
And to be extremely clear about this -- all OpenWrt versions earlier than 23.05 are EOL and officially unsupported. There are reasonable best efforts made for recent firmware versions, but for very old versions, you'll be completely on your own as it hardly resembles OpenWrt of today.
Ok, guys, you've cleared my mind. Thank you. I will abandon this idea for good.
