I have a long running thread (more than year open at this point) and I don't expect I can close it soon. Recently I've been getting discourse generated pop ups asking if my question has been answered. I can dismiss the pop up, but they continue to come back and this has become a nuisance.

Can these reminders be disabled or permanently dismissed? There are a few other pop ups that I would like to configure to "silent" as well if possible.

For the record, as soon as I opened this topic to complain, the pop ups stopped. Just how intelligent is discourse ?

I'm afraid, showing the reminder is a site-wide setting that can not be disabled per user.
Permanently dismissing that reminder doesn't seem to be possible either. :-/
