Colleagues, let me congratulate everyone on International Penguin Day!
30 years ago, Linus Torvalds published the first Linux kernel! I remember this day!
And although my totem is not a Penguin, but a Nice Gentleman in Gumshoes and with a Pitchfork, I sincerely congratulate all the penguinology brothers!
Wow, has it really been that long? I don't remember the initial release but I do remember the first version of Linux I saw came on two 5 1/4 inch floppy discs in the early 1990s. Then later the SLS, and Slackware distros on stacks of 3 1/2 inch floppies, followed by too many distros to count or remember.
