Hap AC lite firmware version issue

I just recieved a few Mikrotik Hap ac lites and the firmware version is 6.48.6. Mikrotik common procedures wiki states " OpenWrt is not compatible with the bootloader of RouterOS v7 or v6.46" . Following the instructions I can upload the firmware 6.45.8 and run /system package downgrade and that works and shows "RouterOS v6.45.8" in the ui when I log back in but the /system routerboard upgrade command fails with "ERROR: can not change firmware to this version, please try newer one"
I'm stuck with

factory-firmware: 6.48.6
current-firmware: 6.48.6
upgrade-firmware: 6.45.8

So can I install openwrt or is it impossible?

Were you able to install Openwrt on this?

Yes and they work fine. I think that's an error in the wiki

So you are saying that I can install Openwrt with the give procedure when my bootloader is at 6.48.6?

I'm saying I installed openwrt on the Hap AC lite rb-952ui-5ac2nd with factory-firmware: 6.48.6 without issues. The issue appears to be to do with LZ77 link

Not LZ77 related.
Guessing someone had problems installing with a v6.46 bootloader and decided to make a vague note on the wiki.
