You are right. I wrote more details here. I also found this. I copied a file with Cyrillic in the name (it consists only of Cyrillic in the name) to a disk connected to the router and a miracle! Basically, it is used as a portable disk and files are written to it in different places and after it is connected, they should be read and displayed.
