A new firmware was uploaded from GL.iNet page.
It is working and newer then the default factory image.
I don't know what was the problem with uboot upload.
And you flashed the Factory image right ?

I melded the @solidus1983 ipq60xx kernel-6.6 changes into SNAPSHOT r26128 kernel 6.6.29 and self-compiled image for axt1800. I did retain the cpu affinity config from the snapshot that was slightly different and I didn't bother with kernel 6.1 and non ip160xx stuff. I've had it running for the past day with no issues, although my usage is currently light.
from solidus' git ? i did build one and it quite stable couple days without any kernel/wifi crashes, bcs as he said in this
the crashes seems happening if using the latest wireless firmware image, atleast that's what happening on me (using build r25257, r25881, r26072)
I am now using the PR https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/14950 as this looks to be what will be merged into official openwrt if approved
@solidus1983 the PR in the official repo to bring support to AX1800 and AXT1800 for ipq60xx is close to been merged.
Could you outline here how to switch to the image of the oficial repo (once released) from one of your builds?
I just did it. Pretty much everything is the same (double-check your packages tho). However, if you are using an older firmware (i.e. one where the interface names are eth0, eth1, eth2) you will need to reset the settings before upgrading. The interface names have been changed to wan, lan1, lan2, and the wireless interface names have been changed as well (the radio device paths changed to platform/soc@0/c000000.wifi for 5g, platform/soc@0/c000000.wifi+1 for 2g). If you leave the config, the router will become unreachable.
I would make a backup and modify the config files for network and wireless. Then you should be able to safely upload your backup.
Simply flash the upgrade file in LUCI.

i have flashed the latest r26072 and i have the same problems with wifi than @4rtz1z but i don´t have the experience to rebuild a new firmware version. are you considering to do an updated one?

A recent comment in PR#14950 claims that the wifi trouble would likely be fixed by PR#14807, which hasn’t been merged yet.
I’m looking forward to both these being merged soon. I actually got the Flint instead of the GL-MT6000 Flint 2 by mistake. Thanks to the great effort of @solidus1983 and others I will finally have a Linux based router again after a break of roughly 25 years.

Since Solidus r26072 I haven't had a clue where development for our Flints is going on and now ipq6000 is missing in 24.10-SNAPSHOT. I don't know whether this indicates anything and keep my patience.

I am unaware of the specifics of what is being discussed there or the roadmap to land that change on main branch. Maybe @solidus1983 or some other can shed some light.
Since the PR has come out I have stopped all work on that, to many chiefs and all that jazz. So for now I am rebasing off that PR for now for personal use.

I am trying to compile openwrt firmware to work with AXT1800. I am using this PR: https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/14950. But, when I start make menuconfig I don't find Qualcomm IPQ6000. Anyone can share a guide on how to compile the firmware for AXT1800 device, that will be really helpful.

I just checked the firmware published by @solidus1983 (Thank you for sharing your compiled version and the libraries). I found that there are issues with Wifi in normal usage mode (AP mode connected to Wan cable) I see a lot of warnings in dmesg and after some time both wireless interfaces went disabled.
I also noticed that the Luci interface is a bit buggy sometimes I keep waiting until I get xhr time out and sometimes there is no answer at all and the only solution is to unplug the router.
I will compile a version today and test it again.

Thank you, @frollic, I finally got encouraged enough and built&installed the PR from the source code. More details in that other ticket. Given that PR#14807 (supporting a similar router Linksys MR7350) has been merged, the current PR#14950 looks rather straightforward, with no mystery bits, such as added or changed firmware blobs. I hope that it can be merged in not too distant future.
