How can I tell with version of r00t's firmware I'm running?
My status page shows "LEDE Reboot SNAPSHOT r5464-5a8e9846af / LuCI Master (git-17.342.53118-6d086bf)"

Also, is r00t planning on release future releases? I couldn't tell by browsing through this thread!

I'm using my Archer C7 v2 as AP (not as router), the only way to improve performance in Wifi/LAN is overclocking via breed u-boot. Checked by myself.

After overclocking from 720 Mhz. to 1 Ghz. I've improved my connections about a 30% (the difference between 720 and 1000, about a 30% in Mhz.)

It's supposed NAT will improve as well after overcloking, but as I told before, I'm not using it.

i think most people are using his config file and patches etc now and building there own images mostly, or just keeping his as there stable version. Who knows....

where did you notice the change in performance does your kernel log still say 720?

Yes, I noticed about 30% more in performance (checked with netperf util).

Thats what my kernel log shows:

In my case, I had no problems. Working like a charm.

idk why mine isnt overclocking then, strange...i mean breed is there and keeps the settings, just the kernel isnt accepting them or something. Interesting.

I have a problem and would like to know what happens.
I have a ./fslb file that works perfectly on ar71xx AC 1750 with Latest Chaos Calmer Release - OpenWrt 15.05.1

But now I've upgraded the router to LEDE with gcc 7.3 and the file does not work.

Without chmod I do not have permission.

With chmod + x fslb or chmod 777 fslb there is no error, however ./fslb not found.
./fslb not found
with cmd ls o fslb is in the directory.
What happened ?

Have you upgraded to this specific community release or to an official release available on downloads.openwrt.org?

i fixed it, after making my frequency setting changes, rather than pressing restart i just unplugged the router and it booted normally!!

have you seen any real world improvement after overclocking to 1000 mhz in comparison to the old value?

you know ever since i added a few things to my build, i was getting better performance as it was, but now that i have the overclock engaged im getting another 10-20% better on download. i was only getting 115 mbps download tops to start with on this router, now since my firmware and the breed overclocking my download is 135 mbps.

Yes, about a 30% in performance.

What's your max download? 135Mbps max is terrible for this router. It should be capable of 800Mbps-1Gbps with no need to overclock if you look at a review like this:
