G.iNet Flint 2 or Flint 3?

In the TOH I found the G.iNet GL-MT6000 (Flint 2).

It would fit my needs, but I saw on the G.iNet site, they have a new(er) GL-BE9300 (Flint 3) -- and then I saw posts here in teh forum about the Flint 3 too.

Is the Flint 3 easily flashable with OpenWrt? And is it preferred over the Flin 2?

Many thanks for any help!

Flint 3 is not supported by OpenWrt at the moment.

Thanks heaps. Good to know. (I wasn't sure because there was a big thread here about the Flint 3...)

So, I guess the Flint 2 it is. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Is it a good router for somebody who just starts out with OpenWrt?

Depends on how you measure goodness, very performant, decent connectivity options, there is something better in every aspect available but not all in one box.
