[Fun]Has anyone seen where ram chip locate?

Below cpu ? I don't think it's possible.
Serial bootlog report 32MB ram.

This is Totolink Ex200 extender. Cpu RTL8196E, wifi chip RTL8192ER, 4MB flash.

Good question :confounded:

The Realtek RTL8196E-CG datasheet suggests it uses SDR or DDR1/2 DRAM, but there's nothing on the board that looks like either! [ no DRAM inside the RTL8192ER ]. I wonder if the OS only needs the 16K CPU cache because this is just a single function device which boots direct from FLASH?

Is there serial boot log showing the memory map?

It was bricked. Unfortunately I forgot to save bootlog, but i'm check by command cat proc/meminfo & free, it's says ~26MB ram.

Maybe for large runs they got realtek to customize and put 32MB on the soc?

The ram is build in in SOC does someone has full dump from this router, I also killed my bootloader ?

Sure, here is full dump flash of my extender.

Wow, that was quick , thank you, will try today. I'm trying to run OpenWRT on Comfast (seams to be same router) I'll let you know if succed.
Thanks.

Here is my bootlog:

Wifi isn't working, did you try openwrt from here:
https://openwrt.org/inbox/toh/totolink_n300rt

Bootloader that is provided there isn't good my device didn't boot with it ... maybe openwrt will work directly...
