Following guide that requires wpa_supplicant, having issues

Trying to install wpa_supplicant but I'm getting some conflicts.

Is wpa_supplicant not supported for my router? TP-Link Archer A7

Collected errors:

    check_conflicts_for: The following packages conflict with wpa-supplicant:

    check_conflicts_for: wpad-basic-wolfssl *

    opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package wpa-supplicant.

So if I'm understanding this correctly wpad-basic-wolfssl includes wpa_supplicant?

Yes, the wpad packages (any flavour thereof) merges hostapd and wpa_supplicant functionality into one multi-call binary.
