Firewall best practices

Installing and Using OpenWrt Network and Wireless Configuration

Hi everyone,

I'm new to LEDE (I have a WRT1900AC v1) and I'm looking for Firewall best practices to implement on my basic home setup, which is composed by:

  1. One Roku connected to the ethernet port on my router
  2. Another Roku on wireless
  3. A PS4 on ethernet
  4. 3 Android phones
  5. A SmartTV
  6. An iPad

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Unless any of your devices need to

  • be accessed from the internet or
  • be disallowed from using the internet

the default firewall rules should be completely fine for you, no changes necessary.
