The latest official beta version is installed on my Nanopi R6C. My newly purchased Netgear USB wireless adapter A8000 (all in English) and a generic USB wireless adapter FRX WIFI6-7921-RD3 both have normal driver installation. Both adapters use the MT7921AU chip and are both recognized, but the generic adapter is recognized faster and displays the chip information completely, while the Netgear adapter cannot recognize the chip model, only showing MAC80211, etc. Neither adapter can enable 6GHz.
When the Netgear USB wireless adapter A8000 is connected to a Nanopi R4S with a third-party enhanced version of OpenWRT firmware, 6GHz is automatically enabled and works without any problems, while the generic adapter cannot be enabled.
A third-party enhanced version of OpenWRT firmware is installed on my Nanopi R76S. The official firmware failed to boot after multiple tests. The internally connected RTL8852BE chip has a correctly installed driver and displays correctly, but the wireless option is missing. Re-registration didn't work. Uninstalling and reinstalling the hardware resulted in a "file not found" error, even though the files were present in the corresponding folders.
To ensure proper power supply to the USB wireless adapter, I increased the input current. The third-party enhanced OpenWRT firmware installed on the Nanopi R4S can handle 5V 8A,
but the latest official beta version installed on the Nanopi R6C only supports 5V 4A. Switching to 5V 5A causes an automatic restart. I hope the power module can be checked to improve its compatibility.
