I was wondering if OpenWRT would provide the feature set I'm looking for.
So I have a pair of TPlink RE650's that I use as Ethernet to wifi bridges. (IE they uplink to my 5GHz wifi and provide a wired downlink.)
But one feature I'd really like would be an AP preference setting, IE so I could set the MAC for it's preferred AP and it'd give priority to connecting to that AP. (I have two AP's and would like for my RE650's to not always connect to the same one, just to spread out the usage.)
Other features I figure would be more likely.
160Mhz support (the chip already supports it, but TPlink have it set via firmware to act like two 5GHz radio's instead of one)
802.1p
802.11r
NTP client configuration
SNMP
Remote Syslog
and Ethernet flowcontrol.
