Failback using LTE

Hi everyone,
I have a bit of an unusual setup.

I have 2 routers:

  • Router1 >> Main source of internet and wifi no DHCP
  • Router2 >> Openwrt- DHCP and it has an LTE sim card.

Sometimes the internet from Router1 is down for whatever reason. My goal is to switch the whole traffic "or the gateway" to Router2.

I can do this manually but every time I have to ssh to Router2 change the /etc/config/DHCP and restart the whole network. Change some IPs for sslh and docker VM.
and if I am not home I cannot connect to my VPN.
I saw mwan3, but it seems it expects 2 wan interfaces, but current I have only one from the LTE "which I don't use most of the time". The DHCP is configure to send Router1 as the gateway.
All the devices are on the same subnet and I have no vlans.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
